I’ll be flying to Orlando on Tuesday to attend Build Business, the national Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) conference. In previous years, this event (the SMPS conference is held in the summer) has correlated with rather enjoyable family vacations. My wife and son (then 14) really enjoyed the conference in Chicago two years ago, for example.
This year, although the event will be at Disney World and therefore ideal for young families, I’ll be there on a “strictly business” level. I’ll be attending on a media pass, as our son is a counsellor-in-training at an overnight summer camp and my wife decided she doesn’t wish to attend this event. So, with an inexpensive ticket, I’ll head to Florida and take in the sessions, insights, and learn some more about AEC marketing best practices.
