Bill’s business background is unique — as an engineer he sent rockets into space before starting his own multi-national, successful high technology business with upwards of 300 employees before selling out, and moving on to the next stage in his life; developing a business consultancy.
His offices in Ottawa are next door to the Ottawa Construction Association and although we met and work in a different context, he has shared with association members how his ideas can apply to the construction industry, and applied these in relationships with several contractors (both general and sub trades) which experienced growth or business development problems. He looks at business from a relationship and life-cycle perspective, and then suggests operating processes which help synthesize and systematize the business, while ensuring it retains the human touch. In fact, that respect for individuals is one of the cornerstones of his philosophy.
